The schedule for The Twilight Singers' March 16 performance at SXSW has been released.

Location: Friends (208 E 6th St) (21+)
8:30 p.m. - The Slip
9:30 p.m. - Rob Dickinson
10:30 p.m. - Glen Matlock and The Philistines
11:30 p.m. - The Twilight Singers
1:00 a.m. - New Amsterdams

This is especially cool, as the New Ams covered "When We Two Parted" by The Afghan Whigs. If you don't know the New Ams, I highly encourage picking up any of their albums, and the freely available Killed or Cured is a good place to start.

The likelihood of my appearance has dipped slightly from 100% to 91%, but expect an increase in that number in the days to come, if my forecast models are accurate.

Now that you are an employee of the music industry, isn't there some way you can convince your bosses to let you make a work-related trip to SXSW?

I know someone who's getting a marathon drunk dial from the participants of Obner All-Skate '06. Tania, we gotta make this happen.

Bob was talking about hitting up that show on Friday night...but I'm heading back to Dallas on Friday morning, so I'm out

I'm down for that B&S/Mogwai/New Porns show on Wednesday night, assuming I get in

I don't have a wristband, I'll just pay as I go...am I the only one rolling the dice like this?

damn it damn it damn it

PUERTO MUERTO is playing SXSW....

i made a big mistake not going.

BIOSinger Christa Meyer and instrumentalist Tim Kelley began collaborating after a chance meeting on the street. They soon were married, and started crafting uniquely smarmy and intelligent punk folk that covered everything from alternative country to German cabaret to Spanish folk. The bands debut 'Your Bloated Corpse' receive critical acclaim and made it on to the end of year lists in 2002. The bands follow up See You In Hell was also well received ("Heavenly" UNCUT ) and included the singled Crimson Beauty and Stars ("Incredible" HOT PRESS". As prolific as they are inventive Puerto Muerto also released Elena - a mini concept about a girl of the same name (with the emphasis on love, incest and murder ) and an original score to the Texas Chainsaw Massace - 'Songs Of Muerto County'
