Amazon and Metacritic both list The Loon as April, 2006... it was on Cokemachineglow's Best of 2006 (6 month) list. But in addition to Allmusic, T n T's own website talks about an October, 2005 release date... so I guess that's the definitive.

I may decide not to list it as 2006, but man it's pretty great.

i'm listing it as 2006. for me, it comes down to when i heard it and if it's still regarded as a "new" release. plus, some sources claim this as a 2006 release.

i'll also count stuff like shins and youth group as 2006 even though they don't come out til 2007.

i also count dracula.

Listening to The Format - Dog Problems and that sucker has a chance to sneak into the top 3. Great album that was a big buzz record earlier this year, but the buzz has dissapated somewhat (replaced w/ buzz for The Brother Kite).

Yeah, that BK album is good and catchy, but I think 'Dog Problems' is better and catchier

Reading this thread either makes me wanna kill all of you or kill myself. The sheer amount of horribleness contained herein is just MIND BOGGLING. Go buy some taste, busters:

1. T.I. - King
2. The Strokes - First Impressions of Earth
3. Lucero - Rebels, Rogues and Sworn Brothers
