And Joe, they are definitely right on the rings. EVERYTHING IS FORGIVABLE BUT A THUMB RING.
meh. I have 4 rings. One of them only fits on my thumb and there is sentimental value to them all. I have had them since I was damn 18 years old for the most part. I must've missed the uncoolness rule about rings on the fingers. Never even knew OTHER people cared about whether or not I had silver on my hand. I have never met a person in real life who has stated issue with or even mentioned them to me. Ya'll some picky mofo's.
The people in 'real life' make fun of you behind your back. Trust me.
Men in general shouldn't wear too much jewelry.
I disagree. The statements about rings are awfully subjective. Despite whatever opinion some of you folks may have of me, I am pretty observant. Whether or not people think it is proper men's fashion or not, I do not know. What I do know is that the people I typically run into in "real life" actually just don't seem to care whether or not I have rings on my fingers. The people that I know personally would have no problem letting me know if they thought something I did, said, or wore was a little out-dated, inappropriate, or just plain stupid. I think some of you guys care a little too much--or maybe the discussion in this thread is an extension of the good senator's thread about the slow moving threads of Obner '07. Nothing else to talk about so let's fabricate some serious reactions to the fashion taboos and no-no's that exist in Hegels wardrobe.

Is your self esteem that low that a couple of fashion abortions can dictate what you wear or make you question your choices? Rings are totally acceptable - even thumb rings - you're putting stock in to what a guy who wears loafers, dungarees and a sweater vest (classic junior executive attire) says?
Luckily for me I never said I was gonna remove this stuff or stop wearing certain things. For me, the rings I wear seem to blend in to most people (in my experience anyway) and no one really notices them. The only thing I give some credence to in the advice realm of Obner is the music I may have missed in my formative years. Other than that I am just discussing. I intend to continue my ring wearing. Don't worry Kiev.
Although, for the record, my little bracelet thing has been gone for a while. It had been removed post picture. Granted it wasn't because it was "uncool", it was because it was old and no longer stayed attached to itself.
Oh and the one thing we haven't discussed in great detail is my beard. "Unkempt Beard"? Come on. My beard is bad ass. Yail's upset because some of his forefathers raped them savages on the trail of tears and through the process of descent has lost the genetic power to grow a beard.
