who doesn't have a tape deck? i'm working on my mixes now and i'm thinking one of two versions for B will be on tape because it's more flexible.

I have a tape deck, but haven't used it in over two years. I keep it for five reasons:

4 ROIR cassettes:

Television "The Blow Up"
The Dickies demos
Garage Sale
NY Thrash

and a demo tape of a friend's band from high school.

does anyone care if we don't send jewel cases? i was worrying about how to package this- and realized netflix doesn't use any kind of padding or anything in their envelopes. so a nice sturdy envelope might just be what i'm gonna use.

i'm not sending jewel cases. probably a small padded envelope and a paper sleeve with a disc is what i'll use.

i'm just going to give you your mix.

as for everyone else, i'm sending slim jewel cases because i have a ton of them. according to the addresses and who's in which groups, i have 19 people accounted for in group B. that's correct, right?

Warning - head's up - caution! I am going to be very slow on getting these mixes taken care of. I still have yet to actually put a mix together - and then burn and package like 30 of these things. Our daughter has just started sitting up and is requiring a lot more attention than she used to (having a tendency to tip over every 13 seconds or so, then bawling her eyes out until you get tip her back up again.) I just don't have the time I thought I was going to. Life has a way of doing that . . .

(To be honest, I'd back out if I thought it wouldn't screw anything up - if no one's bothered by that, I would do so. "I don't want to be a burden," as the old people like to say.)

i think there are only 18 people in group B, but it's still a big number.

as i've said previously, i don't think anyone honestly expects to receive mixes by march 1, but as long as they do arrive, i don't think anyone'll really complain.

I've been working on this a fair amount but am going to be challenged to get them done by March 1. Do peeps want to push the deadline back by a few weeks? Or is March 1 more of just a guideline anyway. I personally don't mind if the receipt of these is staggered a bit, but of course any big time slackers are going to catch some s**t.

Has anyone mailed yet? If not, I don't have any problems with subbing Shiv for Mayor of Simpleton if Shiv wants in and Mayor wants out.

Let's decide though.

Mayor is my partner in A. I don't mind just forgetting about A and simply doing B.

i'm going to the post office before the end of the day, but i wasn't planning to send the mayor's mix in today's batch.

I hate having to give up because it did sound like fun, but I have feeling that I'll regret not having taken this option since it did pop up. And a personal apology to OPA!, since we were paired up.
