I will add that in the 2 situations I can think of when I was in Jon's situation, there was a definite line drawn before any clothing was removed. As in "You can stay here, but you can't fuck me." That said, I tried with one and it ended up gar, and I did not try with the other and things are working out nicely.

Maybe you should try COMMUNICATION, you know, like being nice when she calls you, and not being the dude who just shows up drunk trying to tap it? You'd be surprised how well those things work

i find this to be a wholly illegitimate concept.

its a legitimate concept until one person cares about the other more.

a simple illustration:

eh, i know people in that sort of relationship -- its a romantic friendship of sorts. not saying it always ends peachy or amicably after a while, or that its even a good idea. just saying that a little snuggling is what some people want sometimes.

shiv, i feel for you man. i was in a really similar situation for much longer than i care to admit, and it sucks ass. my only advice is don't think that there's something salvagable out of the whole thing--people like that are always going to try to pull you in closer and give you false hope. they do it because it feeds their ego, because it feels good to have someone chasing after you. cut your losses and tell her to go cuddle her goddamn self.
