Mix Exchange: Confirm That You Received Mixes.

I got a mix from Max in the mail today. Browsing over the tracklisting, there is no chance that I will not love this cd.

Especially since I'm already familiar with about half of it.

Your dad has good taste. It was Mardi Gras time when I made it, and I wanted to make a great Mardi Gras Party Mix.

I gave it a first listen on saturday..its pretty great. I thought glancing over the track list that a few songs would feel out of place but they don't. I need to listen to it a few more times before reviewing it but I'll get around to that soon.

i know beachy wasn't sending mixes out because of the cost but i'm pretty sure i sent out like 20 mixes.

*I'm particularly interested in knowing what Dalen's deal is. I know he's been really "busy" (who isn't?), but about two weeks prior to March 1, he said he had two mixes ready and wanted me to send him my address. So what's the hold up?

Sorry if the tracks are too familiar, but there was no way I was going to be able to keep up with the indier-than-thou crowd around here... so I just concentrated on good songs that I like.

If memory serves, I think Flying Rabbit pulled out of the exchange at the last minute.

i know, i know....i'm a slacker. been caught up and shit. the mixes are done, labels made...just gotta get burnin'.

within the next 2 weeks, or you can send a pack of rabid honey badgers to my house.

it'll be like that bonus mix that everyone wasn't expecting. i think you all will be very surprised at the tracklistings i might add.

People are being slackers with the reviews. I think FT's mix received the most with 11, and I know he sent a ton out. I sent to everyone on a or b also and only have 5 so far. I know I'm being somewhat of a hypocrit because I haven't review everyone's either. But I've reviewed more mixes than reviews I've received, and I'll get around to a few more soon.

Unfortunately your mixes were in my wife's car when she got into a wreck. I won't be able to do your review until we get the car back.

I feel the same. I've definitely slacked off lately (should've had Billzebub's up a while ago, but I'm almost done with it), and I think that's partly due to a loss of enthusiasm. I got tired of constantly checking the mix forum for reviews. I've gotten a grand total of 3 so far, and I think I sent mine out before you did. (Thanks for reviewing mine so promptly, btw.)

I understand that some people are trying to get several listens in before writing reviews, and that's making the process take longer. This is why I did most of mine after only 1 full listen (with repeat listens on certain tracks). It's not that I'm only going to listen to them once, but I wanted to go ahead and post my thoughts because I knew there would be a lot of them to do.
