22-23 at the line tonight is reminiscent in a way. Blah!

I've got them winning the next one, too... Supernova!

no Way this doesn't get pounded worse than Pitt did.. Boo Yah....

I think the baseline for determining Rollie coverage will be the "Jerome Bettis is from Detroit" stories before Super Bowl XL. (Sorry for bringing that up, Chrome_CW, Dreaded Marco, & Balls Mahoney.)

Imagine, too, if Michigan State somehow pulls off the miracle & beats Louisville. Nova in the Final Four for first time since '85; Michigan State playing practically at home; either Psycho T or Blake Griffin; & the embattled UCONN Huskies*. We'll be sick of the Final Four by Wednesday.

*Has any team ever had to vacate a championship? Would there be no champion (listed) for that year, if it happened?

Fucking Epic Choke job by KU. What was the over under for that game 90?! Jesus. I agree with Derris, but I am actually looking forward to the Final Four in a weird way.

As bad as I feel like I'm doing in my bracket, according to "Scenario Generator", I still win the thing if North Carolina wins it all, no matter what the other teams do.

Go Carolina!!!

I just checked the Scenario Generator, and by some miracle I can still win this thing, so long as Louisville and Oklahoma end up in the title game - it doesn't even matter which team wins it all (I have Louisville).

Weird.

Hey conventional wisdom, "Tell me how my ass tastes!"

I have no idea how we're doing this given that we can't handle the ball, get in early foul trouble and have NONE of the typical pieces you need to go to the Final Four via beating the defending national champ and the No. 1 ranked team heading into the tourney.

But I'll take it. If it weren't for seeing Springsteen next Sunday, I'd have already booked a flight back home for the weekend.

According to the scenario generator, the only way I can win now is if MSU beats UNC in the title game.

Don't like my chances too much.

Jebus, anybody catch that shot of Billy Tubbs they showed from 1990 rocking the double breasted? Mah.

He and Switzer probably ran a train on Dean Smith's daughters after the loss.

That's great. If they didn't,I'm sure they sure as hell tried. Well,at least Switzer did.
I didn't think anyone could shoot as bad as Syracuse did Friday.
Well, that was before OU guards shit the bed.
Brutal.
Well,at least I got to see Blake Griffin play for 2 years.
Too bad he's gonna end up in Sacramento or Minnesota next year.
That is unless David Stern works his lottery magic.
Knicks,anyone?

No way Blake Griffin's game translates to the NBA. Watch him fade into obscurity.

Congrats on the dumbest post of the day.

I'm not sold on him as the #1 pick but you're crazy if you don't think he's going to have success at the next level. He probably depends too much on his athleticism at this point but he's only 20 years old and is 6'10, 250 pounds. He's only going to get better and bigger. Carolina is full of future NBA players and he still got 23 and 16 yesterday.

He reminds me of a more athletic Carlos Boozer.

Speaking of Griffin, if he somehow ends up with the Thunder, they would have the most imposing young foursome (Griffin, Durant, Westbrook and Green) in recent NBA history. Get that franchise a real coach, and 2-3 years from now they will begin kicking some serious ass.

I still see him as a late first rounder, meaning that some team that's already pretty good is going to get a kid who works hard, has a good frame, hits his jumper and will kill himself for a rebound or a loose ball. He will make an already good team just that much better.

Griffin's lack of a jump shot could hurt him the league, but besides that he could could be a 20/10 guy easily in his first year. His athleticism is Lebron-like...not saying he's on par with Lebron, but his athletic ability is.

Yep. He'll probably end up with the Lakers, Cavs, Celtics of some other top 4-5 team, play 10 years in the league coming off the bench and retire with 20+ million in the bank. Like Montross did.

I'd also add that from all reports, Griffin's bball IQ is off the charts. I don't think that can be underestimated for longevity in the NBA. Wasn't Fizer dumb as a box of rocks?

The clips of him hitting his face on the board and him dribbling the ball off his face should impress the scouts. haha

I think at his absolute worst,Griffin ends up as a David Lee type.He put up some pretty ridiculous numbers, many times against double teams. He won't be double teamed in the NBA.Sure,he's gonna have his hands full with Duncan,Nowitzki, etc. But with his size, skill set,and yes,IQ,he's gonna be fun to watch.

Oh,and it looks like Calipari is headed to Kentucky...

AP is saying it's more like 8 years/$35M.

Wonder if Izzo's kicking himself for winning yesterday and missing out on this bidding war.

For most Kentucky fans, the basketball program is their very identity. They are as fanatical about it as the other SEC schools are about football. I mean, look what Bama was willing to pay Saban to get them back to the top, or at least competing for conference titles.

If I were an ambitious young sports writer from Louisville or Lexington looking to make a splash I'd be all over that program right now.

Desperation + fanticism in sports breeds some shady deals.

It's funny you should mention that, Monty, as he definitely did not have nice things to say about Mr. Bennett during Dr. TDM's visit to Dallas last week. Me and jagged met up with Mike to watch some KU-MSU (and Heels-Zags) action, and Marco has sworn off the NBA thanks to Clay. If he were ever to begin following the NBA again, it would like be as a fan of the JailBlazers.
