So, you're telling me Hughes is already an ace/jr ace? That Joba is anything more than Brian Taylor (one-shot A's closer, not the Yankees most tragic draft pick) with a Rez card? That Cano is going to do this for another three years?

Hah!

I said none of those things.

I said 'The Yankees have the prospects that the Mariners want'.

You said all the rest.

and i won't be surprised in the least to be in your shoes next season

the only microscopic speck of hope i'm clinging to as far as him not being a rental is that he's from arkansas, which means he's pitching about as close to home as he can (possibly excluding the royals and cards)

I guess I just think the criticism of this decision is totally overblown especially when it was done as a strategy to WIN the game.

Infante isn't the picture of All Star but for what he's going to be there for he's been solid in that role this year.

Every position has an all-star starter as a backup, but you think the selection of Infante is a strategy that is going to win the game for the NL. lol

Were you saying Glaus and Chipper got screwed and should have been selected because they are a legacy?

Just tell me you think Glaus should be in with his .257 average because he has 14 home runs, but Votto doesn't because he isn't a household name and is only hitting .315 with 22 homers.

Sorry Derris, tj42 FTW

As a Mariners Fan i'm happy as well.....I love getting Smoak (had a friend who was upset about the trade because Smoak is only hitting .209 right now.......he's the back of a baseball card stat fan....he'll learn this was a great trade for the M's).

I love that Lee had an off game but still pitched yet another complete game.

Yep, despite the fact that he has his highest ERA when he pitches in Arlington, I think he will ultimately pay dividends. With my Astros floundering, I am officially a Rangers fan for the rest of this year.

Also, Red Sox are forced to install handicap ramp at entrance to dugout. Beltran with a hammy today.

that was 100% only out of sheer necessity

the bullpen has been completely overused and burned out

lee would have stayed in for 9 even if he'd given up 30 runs that game

you don't know how hard i am praying right now that the o's have somehow miraculously turned it around, and it's not just the rangers reverting to their perpetually sucking ways
