yeah it does look pretty good. i think it was supposed to come out this spring but got delayed to august and they were thinking of taking 'meat' out of the title but they're apparently keeping it now.

i watched P2 last night. there was some okay gore but the setting kind of got boring after awhile and the whole thing was pretty average. it's ok for a rental.

I love the transformation to wolf in this movie just as much as American Werewolf In London (my all time fav. horror film).

I could only find one torrent for Mandy Lane and it's a pretty weak cam job. Curious to see if you're grabbing the same one.

just watched mandy lane and yeah that camjob was awful. the movie seemed pretty good though.

the remake of when a stranger calls has got to be one of the worst movies ever. they made it seem like the killer was some brute with incredible strength yet he can't off a teenage girl. also, camilla belle looks like a young tom cruise in drag.

I watched Hatchet the other week and found it amusing. It's more funny than scary, but there's some great over-the-top gore and some great scenes of 'gotcha' variety scares.

Plus, you got a couple of the 'greats' in the movie (Robert England and Kane Hodder) and you get Joel Murray in a good kill.

agreed. Dog Soldiers was really well done. I was completely taken with how good the werewolves looked. I wish there were more werewolf franchises getting made. I forget who's doing it, but isn't there a remake of theWolfman coming out?

I keep adding/removing this from my netflix queue.

I'm now convinced to check it out.

[REC] was pretty slick (reminiscent of 28 Days Later from a first-person cameraman perspective) and had some really effective "jump" moments. Definitely not for folks bothered by motion sickness, though, or a low tollerance for extended bouts of shrieking, screaming and snarling.

thanks for recommending this. just watched it and thought it was awesome.

l'Interieur has a very simple concept -- pregnant woman tries to fend off crazed intruder -- and some of the most wonderfully gratuitous, messy violence I've seen in quite a while. My mouth fell open in horrified glee on many occasions. Utterly absurd and all the better for it!

just watched this. really, really, fucked up.

Awesome. I figured it would be a ripoff of something. Just added Ils to my Netflix queue.

SO, I saw 'The Strangers' on Friday.

I enjoyed it although it was flawed.

NOT REALLY SPOILERS:
The movie kept teasing a 'take off', but never really did till the end...
Could have used another 15 minutes to develop the 'bad guys' just a bit more.
Seemed like the script was never finished and a lot of holes were never plugged in..
I loved the ending though!

The NY Post gave it a hal star while the Daily News gave it 3 stars....I can see how you could rate the movie both ways.....
It was good, and had the potential to be great, but failed.
