NEW ORLEANS, La. - An Oklahoma woman who was lured over the Internet to take part in a Ku Klux Klan initiation was shot and killed after the ritual went awry, and the group tried to cover it up by dumping her body on a rural roadside and setting her belongings aflame, authorities said.

But the plan failed: By Tuesday, a local Klan leader sat in jail on a second-degree murder charge, and seven others were charged with trying to help conceal the crime.

"The IQ level of this group is not impressive, to be kind," St. Tammany Parish Sheriff Jack Strain said Tuesday.

haha. I read about that. CNN has a photo of all eight of their mug shots and I said to myself, "yep, that's exactly what I'd expect them to look like".

Definitely not enough different swimmers in the gene pool there.

anyone have suggestions of exciting things to do in Albuquerque?

Hang out around UNM, or drive north (Santa Fe, Taos, et al)

The world's longest tram - from ABQ to some 14K foot mountain. The day I was there it was 101 on the ground and 45 degrees on the top of the mountain. There's a restaurant up there as well.

Check out the old Route 66 shit, too.

Santa Fe is terrible and Taos is even worse. Space Age dopes and crystal worshippers.

Thanks for the info. This sounds like something I can fit in during a brief visit to UNM.

Santa Fe is great if you can manage to avoid the power crystal booths. I had a great time there.

oh, totally. I don't think it's as bad as there, since I feel like SF is bigger, but there are gaggle of new agers if you don't watch where you're going.

I stayed ina great hotel and found nice restaurants and bars there, so I had a blast.

Babies are sprouting up all over Obner.
We're getting older.
This is interesting.

The race is on for the first Obner GRANDBABY. Aren't ayah's kids reaching their late teens?

I am sure that one or two of Rads' or Tentoze' illegitimate children have already spawned.

There's probably 15-20 Grandtozes out there.

The board was obviously down for a couple of days roughly nine months ago.

Interesting article, and considering my dad was a career GM man... well, it puts things in perspective a little bit.

Yeah, between this and Friedman's article yesterday (thanks Bloor) it's clear a lot of people are moving past indifference to the possibility of GM going under.

For the sake of my home state I'd hate to see it happen, but the capitalist in me argues that its time has likely passed.
