this is some good stuff! :rawk:

I've only listened to a couple of songs so far. It's a 150% improvement on their previous record.

As much as I want to hate this band, this album is really damn good and catchy on the first couple of listens. "Post Acid" is ultra-hooky. Dammit, so is "Micky Mouse". This is kind of like Animal Collective (S Jam/MPP era) or Deerhunter/Atlas Sound if they went hipster/lo-fi/beach/surf garage rock.

It's only 128k, but its a good 128.

That will keep some people from perusing, but its solid.

the blending of styles on this album are actually quite brilliant. i'm hearing such a wide range of sounds/styles (blink 182, nirvana, AC, no age, punk, shoegaze, surf rock, Motown) and they all work together so well.

i went back and listened to his previous material, which i still cannot get into, but it's really great to hear such a leap in quality (production and songwriting) from him on this album.

Hell yes, thanks, discostu- I've been hesitant to buy this without hearing it first, after I really didn't care for Drunkard's Prayer much at all.

I didn't really even give it a chance. As we've found, his albums can be spotty, but there are usually a few insane gems to be found on each.

Actually, that should have been Drunkard's Masterpiece. Drunkard's PRayer is the name of that equally sucky Over The Rhine album.

Dunno, but if you order it from CaldoVerde an EP comes with the purchase. Sun Kil Moon isn't anything I want to hear until it's Fall/Winter anyway.

Why are so many people listening to the new Big Boi and there's no link in here?
