Ben Wallace deserves to get traded after that joke of a performance.

Why does this guy keep winning Devensive PLayer of The Year awards for that one season he had a while back.

0.67 BPG against the Heat.

I agree on Shaq, Payton & Zo are getting old but I still think they have a few years left in them. As far as Wade is concerned, he'll be a Heat for the next 8 years before moving on.

He'd be smart to wait a year before he signs an extension. Besides Haslem (who is only decent) what other players can they depend on for the future....Antoine....Jayson Williams.

Wade needs to come back to Milwaukee and play for the Bucks.

Don't worry , the Bucks will get Wade. But, only at the end of his career.

Miami has a couple young guys who may or may not develop. Wayne Simien and Dorell Wright we'll see in the next few years. Other than that , Riley will make sure he fills other needs via free agency like he did this year. We'll see.

They can't with those huge contracts on the books. They're cooked.
hate to say it b/c i like miami's game, but dhrjericho is most likely right.

Oh yeah, he does have some valid points. I wouldn't be surprised if indeed we do fall apart but I'm a Heat fan so I'm staying positive and hoping my valid points turn out to be what's ahead for the future.

it's just so hard to keep a team together now, especially when your best two players are really from different generations. Shaq's getting old(er) and there's going to be no shortage of people throwing a boatload of cash at an mvp-caliber player.

i really don't know what to do now. can avery johnson outcoach pat riley? can desangna diop stick shaq for 6 games? can you ever bet on antoine walker? but can you ever bet on keith van horn? can anyone on miami cover dirk? can JET/howard guard dwayne? This is going to be an exciting finals and a money-losing proposition.

Y' know wut.. ?, don't forget Zo. Who's gona stop him? Dallas just shut down Pheonix in 6.
Dallas Vs Miami? i'm going for the Big D; Dwayne Wade always finds a way to crash in the last moment. Remember last year?

But that was last year. I also think the schedule is in the Heat's favor by having 3 straight home games. I hate that 2 - 3 - 2 schedule. I prefer the 2 - 2 - 1 -1 -1 series they used during the rest of the playofs. But hey , I'm not complaing now that it favors the Heat.

NBA History Fact: This will be the first Finals for Dallas in their 26 year history , as well as the Heat's first trip in their 18 year history.

Last time that two teams faced off for the first time in their history was back in 1971 when the (66-16) Milwaukee Bucks swept the (42-40) Baltimore Bullets 4 - 0 .

So it comes down to who's hungrier.. doubt if home court really matters now; check out the regular season split.

Dallas Vs. Miami? That just doesn't seem right...

Still, i reckon it'll be a good series.

why is everyone so unhappy when they make it? I'd prefer to see a dynasty than the hodge podge thats going on at the moment. That way it woudlve been a lot more fun when the dynasty crumbled...

because they're both boring to watch unlike the bulls or lakers in recent years. and i wouldn't call either detroit or san antonio a dynasty.

well ok, how about.. Lakers, Celtics, Bulls (Jordan era)- Dynasties

Detroit, San Antonio, Houston- Future Dynasties.

b4 anybody says anything about Houston remember they already grabbed two bk 2 bk championships and with Yao and Mcgrady in their Roster there is potential

i'd say you could only be considered a dynasty if you've won 3 in a row (kobe/shaq lakers, jordan bulls, celtics in 60's, minn. lakers in 50's) or if you were constantly in the finals (celtics & lakers in 80's, 76'ers in 70/80's).

also, there's no such thing as a future dynasty.

The Spurs are just as much of a dynasty as the Pats are.

i never called the pats a dynasty, but they're closer to being one than the spurs are.

That argument is incredibly played out. If you think that Manu Ginobili's circus act, Tony Parker's speed and layup drills, and Michael Finley and Robert Horry's dramatic 3-pointers are boring, you're not paying much attention to basketball. The SA-Detroit games were low scoring because both play aggressive D. Against teams like Phoenix and Dallas, the Spurs regularly put 100 points on the board.

They may not run as fast as Phoenix, but that's because playing defense has won them 3 rings.

Detroit can be boring at times (mostly due to the fact that they only have 4 guys on the team that can make shots, thus the offense is clunky), but the Spurs? Don't think so.

is this the sort of thing you say about dynasties:

Well said tthorn, but one of SanAntonio's Rings came in half a season; does it really count?
