Why do you say "in terms of drawing... please"?

what i mean is that to sketch or draw on a computer is clumsy. it is far more immediate and direct to put pencil/pen/whatever to paper as opposed to maneuvering your way through a device. the computer is less intuitive than your eyes and hands. for me, the computer is less spontaneous and in the way. this just pertains to the way i work and what i want as an end result.

i'd use an ipad any day but not for drawing purposes.

I greatly prefer drawing on paper to, say, using a Wacom to draw directly into Photoshop, but then I imagine that the experience of drawing on something like the iPad could potentially be far, far better than that. Much more immediate and more intuitive. And just for quick sketches and note-taking, it makes perfect sense to me.

All drawing involves tools of some kind, and I think it's silly to rule out the possibility that computers could ever be an effective and satisfying drawing tool.

-But, on that note, I'm not really interested in trying to convince you that it's a good idea. I don't need to. There are tons of apps and I'm sure at least a handful of accessories for the thing that don't appeal to everybody. It's just a suggestion for something that I think could be very useful. That doesn't mean everyone has to think that it would be useful.
