I think we've ascertained the following about conservatives when it comes to creativity:

- they suck at graphic design
- they aren't particularly funny or original or even factual for that matter
- they regularly make spelling errors (see teabagger signage at any given gathering)
- they make digs at the wrong things (see, I'd prefer to see the whole f word and I think it's ok that Rahm swears regularly like a real 'murrican)

edit: oh and Kingfish, I'm sorry to hear about your friends and their child.

But right now, all they have to do is feed red meat to their (extremely pissed off) base, and let the Dems do the work to push away moderates.

And, when they read things like their comments, it reinforces their thoughts about you, and that is why there is no such thing as honest dialogue in this country anymore.

Don't get me started... did you guys see the unedited and uncut "interviews" Bill O'Reilly conducted with Jon Stewart last week? Fox News editing at its finest.

And once again, I heart Chris Kelly.

Not so much the thigh cancer, but there's plenty of evidence of a risk of reduced sperm count and other junk-related issues.

I'm just so tired of Americans only caring about which party wins instead of if America wins. I feel so little in common with either party that I've become pretty apathetic to the whole deal.

I'm considering going back to having a landline at home, and keeping my cell off (or far from me) at work and at home when I have another phone handy. I'm also thinking about getting rid of WiFi at home.

I've already started carrying the phone in my backpack.

Damn. I admire your resolve to turnback the waive of mobile technology. I both curse and love my cellphone.

I think I've resigned myself to dying of brain cancer.

Yeah, I mean I've been ignoring this stuff for a long time, but I'm realizing now that it's just willful ignorance. It's a little like staying in an apartment with asbestos in the walls.

I haven't seen a wave of mesothelioma-style commercials from plaintiffs attorneys, so I am assuming that the jury is still out on some of this...pun intended.

Former GORGOROTH Frontman Named 'Homosexual Of The Year' - Feb. 4, 2010

Image

Last week the annual Bergen Gay Galla was held, and various awards were presented to persons and institutions that have contributed to the gay community in Bergen, Norway.

The most prestigious award was given to Kristian Espedal (a.k.a. Gaahl). The former GORGOROTH vocalist was named "Homosexual Of The Year" and accepted the award in person.

"I don't need an award to be myself. But if this can help other people in the same scene as me, it's a positive thing," Gaahl told local newspaper Bergensavisen.

Gaahl, 34, is involved in a relationship with 19-year-old Robin Jakobsen (pictured below with Gaahl).

When asked how he met his current partner, Gaahl said, "It was after closing time. I was at Fincken (gay bar in Bergen). Robin came to the club to look for his former boyfriend. I was buzzed on white wine, and suddenly I saw a glowing figure in the door. That was Robin. I thought to myself that he must be mine."

Was it love at first sight?

"No…I had to work a little for it."

Were people surprised when you came out as a homosexual?

"I think it's strange that it wasn't known before, but I never had a need to go public with it. Finally a German journalist had the guts to ask the question, and I answered him. It wasn't any more painful than that."
