It was on Craigslist, wasn't it?

I say that only because my experience has been with CL and jobs, that freeform "email us and we'll get back to you" type of mentality. Frustrating.

You got it. The rest of the posting was pretty detailed or at least thorough. I'm putting some thoughts together. Gonna tackle this tomorrow.

Figured. Yeah, I finally stopped going after jobs on there for freelance because 9/10 are scams and/or small potato projects that don't pay me enough for my time as a videographer/editor.

I assume you are looking for a writer position and they will judge the writing style and creativity in the email.

Jerry Maguire it is.

Or go all "I'm an indie slacker too" and just send them an email with your head shot and a caption that says "I heard y'all was hirin. 'Chall need me to do?"

My current job is teaching middle school Korean children how to speak English. This week I had to teach them "popular" expressions. I spent all week repeating things like I'm walking on air, or I'm over the moon over and over again. This has also led to interesting questions in the hallway, such as teacher are you now walking on air.

You should find some of the videos that they make with Americans doing everyday expressions or whatever.

I actually got paid 25000 WON a few times to appear in a few of those.

I kept hoping it was a secret exploitation/sex racket because a hot chick from my 6th grade class was in them as well

That was roughly $65 when I lived there (1988) - but great moolah for a 12 year old. Bought me lots of yaki-mandu and kimbop and arcade game plays, and fake Leebok and Comburse in Itaewon.

Cool, I hadn't realized you had lived here before. Were your parents Army, or something else? It's about maybe $22 now. I was walking in Itaewon last weekend looking at all the fakes.

Yeah, Leon, my dad was in the army. We lived on Yonhgsan, which I think has been decommissioned? But we lived right near Itaewon. Its almost mind boggling to think that my parents thought nothing of letting me and my hooligan friends do shit like ride those big purple busses all over Seoul wherever we wanted to go with zero supervision, and no way to check in with them.
