i don't know if he'll be all that big in a contract year or not if every team can just clog the line and dare mcnabb to advance the ball by throwing to greg lewis.

was it just me or did greg lewis have some huge catches in the playoffs last year.

yeah but they lost there every year. this isn't my beloved bengals we're talking about, this is a team whose personality was second-place every year.

duce is good and i loved him, but he's nowhere near as good as Westbrook (at least in the Eagles pass happy system).

In the postseason in the last 5 years:

7-4 without TO
0-1 with TO

He makes them better, but he doesn't make them

i don't know that they get homefield without TO last year, nor do i think that they close the super bowl with a chance to win without him- i think that you're oversimplifying things.

they did get homefield without him, along with finally getting to the Super Bowl.

i dont disregard his impact though. he obviously makes the team that much better, but they can get to the Super Bowl again without him, especialy considering the NFC is weak. Their defense is improved and a healthy Westbrook will cause havoc.

also, i wouldn't annoint lewis the #1 spot, but i merely suggested that he made some clutch catches in the post-season. he's a good compliment to Owens.[/b]

Forget the 0-1 with him. 7-4 without him = they win playoff games period.

This isn't just the best team in a weak NFC, this is the NFL's second best team. Those 4 losses without him they were tore up & the D wasn't as deep as now, when they're healthy the NFC is their's to lose TO or no TO.

I think that if TO is playing, Greg Lewis could have a breakout season, but I don't know if I trust him to be a number 1 guy.

Anyway, you guys should read this:

Everyone in PA knows Duce sucks ass--that's why Jerome still has a career. The one on the Eagles that could surprise a lot of folks is Rutgers tight-end LJ Smith.

Westbrook is one of the most underrated every-down backs in the league. Philly is a good team. TO takes them to the next level. If he's not there, the offense has to do something to compensate if they want to win the NFC, and I don't know what that is.

Duce is aight.

If you know anything about the Eagles, it's that they utilize Westbrook and the TEs in their offense as much as the WRs, if not more. They'll be fine without him but I don't think they'll trade him or release him.

I agree about Westbrook; he reminds me of Warrick Dunn, who just quietly does his job, and is an incredible back (believe me, I had my doubts when we signed him)

The Eagles are definitely the class of the NFC, with or without TO; the Falcons only chance to beat them in the playoffs is for the game to be at the GA Dome; Mike Vick can win outside in Green Bay but Philly makes him soil himself; Tampa Bay, too.

probably because GB has no defense these days.
and Favre throws 5 interceptions a game.

I really wish the Eagles would pay his salary, bench him, and ruin his career to send a message as to who's in charge here. I'm sure 20 million Eagles fans would each contribute a dollar to that cause. I know I would.

As an Eagles fan, I totally agree. Sit his ass down for the whole season.

I like that he told one of the offensive staff "You don't speak to me again, unless I speak to you first."

This should be a great distraction for the Eags!!

This management stunt would only feasibly work on Eric Lindros.

TO bores the shit outta me. Hasn't he peaked - the good years are behind him, yeah? Send him to Atlanta already.

Actually, I'd sit his ass down and then trade him to Arizona in the off season, or better yet, to Detroit for one of their young WRs.

BTW, not for nothing but I really respect Joe Banner and especially Jeffrey Lorrie(sp?) for standing up to not only RosenGar/TO but any other uppity players that want more money than the CONTRACT THAT THEY SIGNED in recent years.

Big ups. I fucking hate the Eagle's but I enjoy that attitude and I hope Mr. Blank is taking notes.

BTW, who is Philly's backup at RB? Save me a trip.
