Bump - complete list update

Steve wins I guess.

Pretty solid list. They didn't cheapen it with too many contemporary tunes IMO.

21. "Tennessee" -- Arrested Development (1992). The same year most of the hip-hop world fell under the spell of Dr. Dre's gangster rap classic "The Chronic," this Atlanta-based group in overalls conjured a thoughtful, rickety antidote from the other coast.

This makes it sound like Arrested Development are from the sticks, and offer genuine ruralia by genuine country-boys and -girls.

PLEASE.

Speech was from Wauwatosa, Wisc., the son of at least one doctor, and he went to Rufus King High-school, one of the top Baccalaureate secondary programmes in the nation.

PLEASE.

AD, rickety? Maybe on wax, but it's a Black Society for Uncreative Anachronism if ever there was one.

Of the ones I know, this is the only one I have a serious problem with. This song kept me from liking The B-52's for over a decade. Surely another one of their songs could have gone here.

I kinda wish Ryan Adams - "Oh My Sweet Carolina" would have made the list. Even if it was in the high 90s.

Interesting list and not awful. Not the songs I would have picked for a lot of those artists, and I wonder what happened to such mainstays of my southern rock youth as drivin n cryin (blue ridge way!) or the indigo girls (become you, or something), or steve earle (almost anything).

Interesting list but where are all the Florida death metal bands???

Seriously though, I was just going to say that not including the Indigo Girls is criminal. I mean, if you're going to include the B-52's and R.E.M. then you'd have to ask them to join the party too.

I knew it belonged, but didn't expect to see it at #1.

Somebody needs to collect this list and put it up on Colinswood.
