i dislike the braves because i'm a mets fan and have been since the braves were actually bad.

whenever i think of the braves in the postseason, i think of the old black gentleman that sat in the first row behind the plate during every single playoff game in 1991. i was 10 that year and knew the braves had been trash for years. and i imagined this guy hoping for playoff tickets every year that they finished way out of the playoffs. then 1991 finally came for them and he was first in line for tickets. so, i guess i thought he was a true fan. and then the camera would inevitably pan across the stadium and everyone else seemed to only know that there was something with a chopping motion of the hand to come soon. and i've hated their fans as well as them ever since then. yeah, it's silly.

The chop has gotten to be pretty fucking annoying but in '91....Its just hard to explain growing up being a fan of this shitty team and then THAT. I was 16 and man we'd have these great little get togethers to watch the playoff and World Series games.

That Game 7 against the Twins is seriously the best baseball game I've ever seen.

That's a lie--its game 6 versus the Indians but it is a close second.

Hopefully, in a little over a week, the Astros can send the Braves home again to beat something other than their chests.

Oh you guys finally win that First playoff series in franchise history last year and you think you can talk shit, now?

I'll remind you that you dont have Carlos Beltran this year.

Andruw Jones is readying himself as we speak to rock that softball park you guys play in.

Should be fun though, eh? Kickass pitching matchups all over the place. Smoltz vs. Clemons is honestly one of the best on paper pitching matchups in history.

I can agree with the above. Beltran isn't needed. And there will be plenty of balls knocked out of Minute Maid, no question. From both sides.

Notice I said "hopefully". You'll get no trash talk here. Not until it's over with, anyway. :D

I just want the Astros to hold off the Phillies and get a shot at this point.
