Well i have to make a decision for my application to university before long (i think you guys call this 'college'...or is college something separate entirely?). I'm probably interested in the following courses, but i still don't have my heart completely set on anything:
->Bachelor of Creative Industries (Creative Writing)/Law
->Bachelor of Creative Industries (Mass Communication)/Law
->Bachelor of Law/Psychology
->Economics/Law
at either University of Queensland, or Queensland University of Technology (they're two of the top ones in Australia i guess...but then again we don't have a whole lot of tertiary institutions).
I also have my long term goal set on possibly doing post-grad. medicine, and then maaaaybe post-post-grad. psychiatry (maybe getting ahead of myself for now), but then again i very well could have said pipe-dream crushed by some intervening factor such as 'failure'.
I've been called lazy through high school for always 'coasting' through school, because basically i've been nothing but disinterested and bored with all my classes and school life in general. Still, i've got the highest English mark in my school and my region, well, because i can write better than everyone else i guess (still, it is only high school English). Though, when i put my mind to something i am normally devoted to it, but i lose motivation immensely when i get bored with something (i guess everyone does).
This in mind, has anyone here studied any of the above fields, and thus posesses the experience to either dissuade or encourage a young fellow like me to pursue them, or maybe even suggest something similar?
Any advice is much appreesh'd.
I wouldnt really go into psychology unless you have a burning desire to do so.. if law is what you are really interetested in then I too would say Law/Econ.. for marketability factors.
