Libruls.

Won't let you think that you're doing ANYTHING correctly.

Gawdam rite. Shit sticks in my crawth.

Actually, anything more than 5.5 miles outside madison begins to get real conservative real fast. We're about 7 miles down, so we're "country." Folks like to shoot stuff here, and shooting stuff tends to agree with conservatism. Hell, my haircut place down the street has a smallmouth bass in a fish tank. I'm gonna miss that guy when I move in 2 weeks.

Shit no. Black Earth is WAY out there. I'm in the sleepy little bedroom community of Oregon. For 2 more weeks. You don't have to go far from Jenifer Street to remember that you're in Wisconsin.

I assumed Black Earth was pretty close since that is the site of the Shoebox, where the sundry and various UW athletes got into NCAA compliance trouble for taking free sneeks....

But, yeah, get me outside Milwaukee County, and especially west of Moorland Road, or outside Ripon, which I (sort of) know from going to college there, and I'm lost.

Out-state 'Sconsin just blows my mind... THEY are responsible for both Joseph McCarthy and Gaylord Nelson.

Say wha-...?

are you moving downtown? i don't think i've ever actually seen a car being pulled over anywhere on the isthmus.

this thread reminds me that i need to pay a ticket i got driving home to iowa a couple months ago. was going about 12 over and had a headlight out, but only got a ticket for 5 over.

I am queen of parking tickets (and car problems). My stupid ass didn't realize I parked near a white curb so this morning when I was leaving my friend's house, I saw that I got a parking ticket.

Goddamnit.

And my horn doesn't work, so it's quite frustrating. RAWR!

Yes ma'am. We'll be bonafide Willy Street hippies in just 2 short weeks.

Reminds me - was the Mifflin Street Block-party ever revived?

Oh trust me, I do plenty of that... but it would still be nice to have a horn. I think I'm just going to get a bullhorn and hold it out the window and scream at people. That'd be awesome!!!

Mifflin Street does indeed go on every year, but things got outta hand a few years back (imagine that, just like fuckin halloween, where dumbasses feel the need to break windows and light cars on fire), so now they curtain the whole area off, cram it full of cops, and kick everyone out at like sundown.

This NEEDS to happen. When I come to visit we're going on the 405 and giving mofos an earful.

On a related note: how much bail money should I bring?

I've always wanted to get a loudspeaker installed underneath my hood so I could talk shit on people on the street. I'd probably get arrested immediately but it'd be WORTH IT.

(to a complete stranger): Hey, baby, I'm sorry, I didn't mean it, get back in the car, I'll take you home, I'm sorry...

Sorry hon, I avoid the 405 like the plague as much as possible. But you're really coming to visit?! Yay! I'm not sure how much bail money you need.... but enough to cover the both of us. Haha. ;)

My driving problem? I can't. Drive that is. I didn't get a license until I was 22 (almost 3 years ago), and the day I took the driver's test is the last time I drove a car. And the test wasn't even on a real road. At least I never have to be the DD! I just ride my bike instead.

Interesting fact: It is possible to get a DUI on a bicycle. So even on the bike I must be careful.
