like when we used to overtake whole threads with our bitching at each other?

Ahhh the old days.

But in all seriousness, I like everything Dana said. Makes it easier for me to not have to think today which is something I can't do(chris you make a single comment you're a dead man).

when Chase used to post I liked his brutal responses to people

I also used to like Charli's occasional outbursts of rage - seems to be on the wane now...same with Opa...what is up - we need some more of that stuff.

I like it when Radcliffe gets all fired up about religion and goes nuts

It is reassuringly familiar when kph talks about The Wrens and poptodd talks about Wire

It is also cool when hideouslump pops up every now and then to deliver a good one-liner

i like it when people do things quietly enough that they get no mention on a strange little quirks you like about fellow posters thread.

-I like the people who post just to start fights or arguments (yes, i am guilty)

-And drunken posting (though we should have a Kangaroo Court and fine those who abuse the privilege)

-I like the political posts; even though i know alot of you dont

-Radcliffe is a consistent and always interesting read...

-Some of you reveal so much personal info about yourseves, families and relationships that it almost makes me uncomfortable but it also makes you more human....

-And the broads make it not seem like such a House O' Dorks....

I can't remember who it was, but someone once replied to KoCF with the phrase, "Keep it screamo, brah."

I liked that.

Another vote for the sisterhood vibe. Big ups for the rockin' ladies. :D

Also ditto on chase's snarkiness, phil's cooking tips (no, I don't make 'em, but I could), Konstantin's affection for dour grouchiness, FT's birthday goodness, fighting with OPA, modem in a box (I can't read anything he posts without thinking of that picture for some reason) collective sound yet amusing advice on all matters personal, musical and other, and squillions of other folks I don't want to leave out but must, so I can apply for jobs that are due on 12/1.

Also, may we read the squirrel rant?

You know for years I hated squirrels and I had a big long spiel about how squirrels were A THREAT TO MANKIND, EVIL and wished to ENSLAVE US.

But last Sunday I went for a long walk in the winter sunshine along the River Kelvin and there were alot of squirrels around and just suddenly out of the blue I realised what a fool I'd been. I'm pretty sure squirrel society is beign and we can live peacefully together. My squirrelist days are over and I completely renouce my previous opinions.

I reckon the thing that did it was I've been thinking about St Francis of Assissi quite alot recently and if a man of his deep personal wisdom can befriend the squirrel, I thought I should revise my opinions.

Next week I might take them some monkey nuts.

PS I've also a comerant the same day who I've named Freddy the comerant.

- I like the girlz as well.
- I like it when the peeps get mushy.
- I like it when (on the old board) people band together and tell off bigots, e.g. when someone got us to all go to that anti gay marriage site and throw off its stats.
- Aural's unfailing friendliness
- Frostin's unfailing chattiness,
- Ish's wordiness
and
- Fast'n'bulbous's crazy lists & knowledge
- How supportive people are of the board's musicians. Thank you.

Yah'll rock.

I think it's really funny that when Derris, Bloor and I get together, we talk about threads and stuff that was funny/interesting on the board, but we do it in hushed tones, b/c we don't really want people to know what nerds we are.

I also like the fact that people (generally) don't hold your rantings against you. I can slag the hell outta an album that Radcliffe loves, and he'll still send me awesome shit. I can outwardly hate on all indie hip hop, and Chase will still believe my movie recommendations (and get me to watch subtitled films) I can be protective of The South and Bluejay and Spade etal will still have discussions about music, or football or whatever. I can appear Dazed and Confused whenever I see Stu, and I know we're still gonna be homeboys. I can slag electronica and promise Drinky a never-appearing Stones mix and there' no ill will.

Plus, we have people who are vastly more knowledgable than me about a range of subjects (Chuck D and biology, Haq and law/philosphy/setting up an internet BB) and that is always cool.

Basically, this place rocks, and I've gotten into so much stuff (at a cheaper price) than I would've been able to otherwise. I'm gonna go mail Radcliffe a package now.

Funny though, when we've all hung out, we've never really talked about this board. Probably because we're all too drunk to remember anything.

Yeah, Dave, I'm a tolerant mother fucker. ;)

I also agree with Yail Bloor about the getting way into the personal lives threads. The only thing I'll get personal about is the problems with the opposite sex, and that's because it's a universal problem.

Every time I get together with CMJers, we like to make fun of the people on the board. Fun times.

Glad you're digging the mix. You should tap Mssr. Radcliffe for one of his mixes as well. Stellar stuff.

Obnerhood indeed! Cheers!

yeah, "pokethulu" still receives weekly airtime in my house.

Radcliffe has blessed these ears with several mixes, two of which were "Nutclusters I&II."

I reciprocated with pygmy music. Nothing says fraternal obnerhood like pygmy music.
