Dude, with your love of Ryan Adams, and alt.country-ish shit, you would like the Byrds.

This would be really close to my own...I'd probably sub Paint it Black for Sway and maybe Darlin' or God Only Knows for Beach Boys...but I'm not sure about that.

I know a guy who goes by 'Mandy'. The first time we met, he said, "If you sing that song by Barry Manilow...if you even mention it...I will kill you."

Just like I'm sure girls named Michelle probably hate that song by the Beatles -- not because of the Beatles, but because of all the guys who can't sing who try to serenade them.

As always, I picked two for each:

The Beatles: "Tomorrow Never Knows" + "I Want You (She's So Heavy)"
Rolling Stones: "2000 Light Years from Home" + "Down Home Girl"
Kinks: "Set Me Free" + "Till the End of the Day"
Beach Boys: "Surfin' USA"... covered by the Jesus and Mary Chain
The Byrds: "8 Miles High"

Of course my list reads like the hit parade of psych-drugs.
