Copy protected. Anyone who bought it and installed the player just installed Sony's rootkit. In other words: you just paid for a virus! Not to mention that you just added yourself as another satisified buyer to Sony's list of people who "don't mind" copy protection.

i have it...listened to it a few times....

my overall take:

great sound: rick ruben IS a genius

great voice: neil diamond has a GREAT voice

mediocre songs: seriously...they are just okay..which would be okay with the above observations if:

shit lyrics: they are just really really bad imo...like he didnt take time to polish 'em....which may be okay, but this is being heralded as a singer/songwriter album.....

my advice: go buy crooked fingers' dignity and shame if you havnt already

Great advice, there, Scotty.

"Dignity and Shame" may make it onto my top ten list for this year. Dare I say it: it may be Crooked Fingers' best release, yet.

Cheers,

Just read that this is the FIRST album of Diamond's to debut in the top 10. Wow.

Also, it was #2 most dled. Congrats to Neil.

I tried picking this up at Circuit City this weekend for my mom's birthday. They had it on the shelf, but the computer wouldn't let them sell it to me because of the recall. :(
Like my mom would ever insert it into a computer. I tried to force them to sell it, but no go. Maybe I'll try to score a used one for her Christmas present.

I got stuck buying her Rod Stewart's Songbook Volume IV.

They have it on half.com.
