last night's obner-related dream (that comes in late):

i was staying at a hotel that was hosting a gala. all of my friends were black-tie and i look down to see i'm in my gym clothes. my stepmother and elementary school gym teacher (friends in real life) say they need the room, so i grab my tux and go outside with my friends. we walk down the street to meet some other people. when the coast is clear, i get dressed on the sidewalk. and i notice i have no black socks. one of my friends says he has black socks in his room, so i go back inside for them.

when i walk out again, every emergency personnel and vehicle imaginable is on the block. i go to my friends and ask what's happening. someone tells me to check washingtonpost.com. i pull out the blackberry i don't own in real life and check it out. there's an article about a terrorist threat and this hotel being the center of some international crisis.

of course, i then check out this board and there's already a thread about it. the second post is someone's tremendously awful poem to their spouse. so i quote its first few lines and write, "lock it up, mods. this truly is the end of the world." out of nowhere, this person confronts me on the sidewalk and begins berating me about the post. they think i'm mocking that they wrote a poem to their spouse. and i was only trying to be funny and mock how horrendous the poem actually is. i can't remember what happened next, other than us yelling at each other.

That reminds me. A while back I had a dream about ChuckD. I was trying to cheer him up so I walked across a sunny city plaza to get him some coffee but they only had this instant crap that they frothed up to look like a latte.

When I get back to Chuck's I see he has a monkey sitting on his shoulder. I said the little monkey was cute but that he should get rid of it because they were dirty animals. Chuck agreed and said he was working on it.

oh, sick. get your mind out of the gutter. they needed to get dressed for the gala.

*my ears are burning* LOL

All of us have to deal sometimes with the monkey on our back, no?

That's awesome - I somehow feel like I've "made it" now, having achieved guest-star status in an obner dream.

i know someone here that's had a dream about me.

I have sleep issues; bruxism, snoring, allergies, insomnia, alien abduction/experimentation, etc. Couldn't remember a dream lately to save my life.

me neither. but I know i've had them.

I have wet dreams about Obners all the time.

Fixed that for ya.

I barely get any sleep, and when I do, it's about nothing but sex. So I'd rather that none of you get into my dreams. Except DeathToShoegaze. He's more than welcome.

apparently he has a photography hobby and did a bunch of self-portraits. and he was asking for my opinion as to which ones he should get published in a magazine.

the funny thing is....i have no clue what elephantstone looks like.

Holy shit, this reminded me of ANOTHER fucked up dream I had last night (I was just telling the SEN. about this other one where I shot someone)

So Mark Clark was this songwriter and Jon the Postman was touring with his band, called Shiv of course playing "the music of Mark Clark" and I guess Mark was doing sound or something because I spoke to him briefly at the soundboard.

I was at the club to see a totally different band. Who knew?

I had a dream that I owned a chicken the other night.

But now I realize that my dreams must be about the Chinese horoscopes! That's why I dreamt that ChuckD had a pet monkey.
