"Was it made for American audiences?"

"Yes."

"Then I hate it and will projectile vomit on any one who likes it"

Saw it this afternoon...really, really, really enjoyed it. Very entertaining. I thought the Kong effects were fantastic.

Also, I didn't think it was slow at all. For a 3 hour movie I thought it zipped by, but I recommend a piss break about 50-55 minutes in.

I guess I have been under a rock...

The last intermission in a mainstream movie bisected "Gandhi" in 1982. The breaks were discontinued so more screenings could be packed into the day. ...[/url]

I recall seeing Gettysburg in '93 or '94, with an intermission, so that number is incorrect. '82 didn't mean shee'....

King Kong hasn't been doing that well at the box office. Certainly not as well as some people predicted.

The last time I saw a movie with an intermission was the Right Stuff in 1983.

Monty, I would think that for a movie that is 4 hours and 35 min they would have one. Otherwise, I would hope they have plastic seatcovers and/or Depends available at the door when you buy your tickets.

See my thread about this...its all hype. Don't read into that it is bombing, cause it isn't. I'd wait until the #'s come in this evening (sunday).
