The two closing tracks on this album cannot be fucked with. Neither can "Lightning Strikes the Postman" or the rest of it, really.

This is maybe my favorite album to listen to when driving, especially in nice weather.

My second favorite Lips albums are probably In a Priest Driven Ambulance and The Soft Bulletin, but pretty much everything they did in the '90s is excellent.

speaking of closing tracks, "Slow Nerve Action" on Transmissions is fantastic as well. but still, pound for pound....

Clouds is ridiculously great. Nothing else the Lips have done even comes close. It just might be one of the best noise-pop albums ever made.

Yeah, "Slow Nerve Action" may be their best song.

Whatever happened to Ronald Jones? I know a lot of people have asked this before.

Last I heard, he was stranded in the Himalayas, and presumed dead.

I think I might have cried the first time I heard that.

and "This Here Giraffe" is their best song.

It's tied with The Soft Bulletin for the #1 spot.

Yeah, I agree by far FL best album.

I saw this show in San Francisco in 1996 and might have been the loudest show I have ever seen. MBV was louder but I was going to Raves around that time so it didn't seem as loud.

Clouds contains my favorite all-time Lips song: "Bad Days"
And it's prolly a dead-heat for me between that album and Transmissions.

But, overall I would agree with Ryan on this one.
