I've seen COCOROSIE pop up all over the place recently. Heard a track and wasn't impressed....am I missing something? Should I give it a spin?
Yeah, the cover is hilarious.

The inevitable carping about such lists is expected I think on a board like (insert Obner for ***), which is by nature elitist. Of course most of us are going to have some "gem" that we love but doesn't get the year end love: because for a lot of us, it's finding that rare gem that's part of our love of it.

Many of the lists posted here and elsewhere from different online zines seem to pick the same friggin' releases, just in a different order. That shit is tired.

If you come across any lists where you might find something new [gasp!], post them up.

Here's one...

While people are waiting on Amoeba's year-end list, why not take a look at the other coast's best (debatable) record store's list: Other Music year-end wrap up

wow, i'm shocked to see PAAVOHARJU & SKYGREEN LEOPARDS in the indie picks. nice.

some great selections in the Electronic list: DEAF CENTER, TAPE, MOUNTAINS, MURCOF. these all made my Top 15 IDM/Ambient list.

tons of interesting releases in this list. thanks for posting it. this is exactly the type of list i like to see.
