EX-actly...the fact is, it was good show, and the writing (mostly)was a cornerstone to what made it good. I'll shed any cred right now by saying:

Same shit: I am the first to admit that there may actually be good shows on the networks, but I wouldn't know, b/c these days I don't even know what channels the networks are on. For example 24: never caught it.
Network Tv has been in decline ( in importance) since the advent of cable in the same way major label "big name" bands' sales have been in decline now for several years.
