I personally like Gimme Fiction more than Girls Can Tell and Kill the Moonlight. It's not quite as good as Series of Sneaks. Anyway, it has withstood the test of time for me. The only problem with the track order is the 1-2 punch of boredom that is "The Infinite Pet" and "Was It You." "Was it you" probably shouldn't have even been on the album. It reeks of B-side.

But it always seems like there are two prongs to the Spoon fan club: the people who like the smooth GCT slow jams, and the people who like fast crunchy "Car Radio"-style pop rock songs. I prefer the latter.

well of course not, those are two classic records...especially GCT. if you want to delineate spoon fans into those camps, i'm in the Girls Can Tell one. is there a better spoon song than "chicago at night"? "anything you want" "fitted shirt" "everything hits at once" and "believing is art" are also all so huge. sometimes i feel like that's a top 10 record for me. i listened to it walking around freising, germany while waiting 7 hours for a train and it just filled me with such emotions. Girls Can Tell is the top of the Spoon catalog for me, which is hard to say because of things like "series of sneaks" and "kill the moonlight."

This is a disc I have yet to revisit.

I think I only listened to it twice when I bought it.
