Oh, yeah. Borg, you're an idiot. You have no idea about the reality of this situation. I believe you will take any opportunity that presents itself to bash our government and our economic system.

When the top 1 percent’s financial wealth is equal to that of the bottom 95 percent and the president makes it a priority to cut the top 1 percent's taxes and dismantle social security, I tend to start bashing people.

our government needs a lot of bashing these days.

Some targets are just easier than others.

This is the damn truth.

The problem is that to feed their crazed and racist base, the Republicans are too hamfisted in their approach to "personal responsibility and lower taxes" whih is just code for "I don't want N****** getting any of my money."

This is exactly right. The problem is that when people of the ilk of Jackson and/or Farrakhan speak, they just feed the fire. They are effectively killing the Dems in the South.

to me the dems and repubs both look totally out of sorts. that governor of montana is a joke from what I saw on 60 minutes. his great energy solution - COAL! brilliant, jackass.

i could get behind obama but my in-laws and all their neighbors would rather vote for david duke than obama.

Didn't see the guy on 60 Mins...but to get elected out there as a Dem, he's doing something right.

Again, bucking party orthodoxy is not usually a bad thing ;)

problem is that he is so far right i don't think i could vote for him. but you are probably right as far as national elections.

the republicans here would be vilified as commie bastards elsewhere.

Once Ted Strickland hands Ken Blackwell's ass to him in the 2006 Ohio governor's race, give him a few terms and watch a solid Democrat take over the White House. Until then, I'll simply hope things get better.
