not saying Cheadle isn't good... he is.

what i'm asking is, was 'Mission to Mars' a nasty split finger fastball?

They all have to do things for money...look at Giamatti and 'Big Fat Loser' I think it was...

*bump*

There's now a blog devoted to the project. Still about as far away from production as it was 2006. There is a script, and now Cheadle is directing and they're searching for investors. You would think people would be lining up to fund this after the great success of the Walk The Line and Ray. Although, this could spiral into Beyond the Sea territory, which seemed like a good thing on paper.

Btw--here's a link to 69 Miles Davis album covers.

So many good to exquisite covers. Wish I could have some of them framed. Favorites are definitely "Jack Johnson", "Miles In The Sky" and "Big Fun". Honorable mention no doubt for "Porgy and Bess"

The Sketches of Spain cover has always been a favorite of mine. Just feels so 60's.

Been meaning to get that on vinyl for some time now.

This should be an interesting movie, which I will absolutely have to see. Also, Kind of Blue, while some are tired of hearing about and all which I get since it is the unavoidable popular jazz album of forever, was the album that turned me on to jazz, playing on a crappy transistor radio on a public access station from start to finish a long hot summer years and years ago. I will never forget being blown away by that thing awake in the middle of a hot sweaty night with the windows open and a fading buzz.

Just a quick side comment...ol' Chuck being local stories abound, especially among the female wait staff of his favorite restaurants, about his antics and way with people. All I'm saying is one way or another, you tend to remember a run in with Mr. Berry.
