yeah, I should also state that my main goal is to be too drunk to help with spring cleaning this weekend.

and yes, I'm gonna go old school and listen to the games onthe radio while I'm passed out in my yard.

my plans are somewhat nebulous at this point, but:

tonight: go to a "spa girls night" with some friends and getting a manicure (apparently we get served martinis too, so I can't complain); prolly dinner with the old man afterwards. I'm craving 'za.

tomorrow: no plans yet, except I need to get a bike ride in before the rain.

sunday: can't think that far ahead yet.

Yup.

Son is making his first communion in a few weeks. This is one of his last two classes. Josh is excited because that means we don't have to get up early on sundays anymore.

Tonight: Going to sign all the paperwork for financing the house. Going to dinner/drinks with gf's old BF from HS & UW and her husband. I guess this chick can throw em back so of course, I'm excited to meet her.

Tomorrow: House inspection. Cap'N and just about everyone that I know up here are planning on coming by to check the house out again and take tons of pictures. then heading over to Cap'N & Mrs. Cap'N place to make my world famous chicken tacos and drink/ play dominos I imagine.

Sun: MONGER like it's 1999.

yeah, that's what I said when he started. Mine was a monday night as a kid. My nieces both had it in evening.

It's the biggest and oldest church in the city though. It's a very liberal Catholic church that because of its popularity brings in members from the suburbs even.

So I think that's why.

i'm leaving at 2 today and wandering around town and then i'll go home and go out with blue milk.
tomorrow.. work. then go out with friends. sunday, probably work.

everyone i knew went to catholic school and when the public school kids would come in for communion/confirmation rehearsals it was like two worlds colliding. we were taught in school that we were better than them.

we referred to them as public school palsy(s).

In my small world, the big event will be if the UPS guy delivers some new whiz-bang speaker cables tomorrow. Other than that: Alcohol. Music. Repeat.

I got eliminated in the first round. My word, or so I thought was "secession", which I spelled correctly. Apparently the word the moderator was unable to articulate was "succession". My sister reported that one of the english teachers (near to whom she was seated during said assembly) protested, "No, that's right." when they announced my spelling of "secession" was incorrect.

i lost on the word "zymosis", and i was even cheating. the chick pronouncing the word made "z" sound like "s", which didn't make sense to me. to clear the confusion, i employed request #1 of the 2 you can make -- can you please give me the definition? the podium where spellers stood was pretty close to the judges' table, and i could clearly see the judge page to the very end of the dictionary with a fair amount of blank space on the right-most page. following her eyes looking at the right page, i was pretty sure it started "zy". from there i became confused on "sis" vs "sous". being nervous, i forgot the distinction and asked for #2 -- can you please put that godawful word in a sentence? the sentence didn't help and i spelled it with "sous". i will forever remember that word.

i finished #3 where only #1 went on with the #2 alternate (just in case #1 drowned in a pool of school milk).

THE END

thus completes paladisiac biological career story #2 for the day.

Yeah, we were hated by most of the kids who went to catholic school, because they had to go to church everyday and have daily religion classes. Whereas we got to wear whatever we wanted and only attend class for 90min a week.
I think it is funny you were taught you were better. I'm sure that happened at the crappy Catholic School in Norfolk, NE too, which is funny since they couldn't afford AP classes or a music department when I was in school. My only interaction with Catholic School students dressed in the same exact uniforms was when I got chosen by our Parish to attend the Chrism mass at the Cathedral in Omaha during the lenten season. It felt really weird not wearing a uniform amongst a thousand or so Omaha area students.

Tonight: Gym, Run, and then Mates of State, Magnolia Electric Co., Destroyer at the Variety Playhouse.

Saturday: Heading down to Montgomery to hang with Loogs and go to some monger Ball with the high falutin folks. We plan on drinking free whiskey, smoke cigars, and openly bag on every person in sight. Watch some Final Four here and there. Take pants off in middle of party after 8th drink and ask if any of the women can make the "south" rise again.

Sunday: Have Loog throw throw hot wings at the general vicinity of my mouth and then crawl back to Atlanta where we will never speak of it again.

We need some kind of Obner Post of the Week for brillance like this. Something that stays on the front page or something.

I guess I should post my plans:

Tonight: Checking out La Rocca (up & coming band from Ireland based outta LA). They're opening for Her Space Holiday who is previewing their new music, but I doubt that I'll be sticking around. Do some quickie grocery shopping after the gig.

Tomorrow: Fuckin' sleep in! Going out every single day this week has worn me out. Oh shit, just remembered, my niece is getting dropped off in the wee hours...dammit! Ah well. Do girlie things later in the day, ie, nails and feet pampered. Niece and I are hittin' up The Troubadour to see Cloud Room / Film School / Space Mtn, then off to Fred 62 for late night nosh.

Sunday: Ok, THIS day I shall definitely sleep in. Do late breakfast with the niece. Watch movies and be lazy. If it doesn't rain, gonna visit mom and pop -- they would've celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary this weekend.

Tonight: No real plans yet, maybe a movie with people I don't know

Saturday: SLEEP IN (I've been waiting all week to do this), catch up on DVR and Netflix and maybe one or two of my purchased movies I have yet to watch (of like 10 or more right now), basketball in the evening, go out

Sunday: SLEEP IN, netflix/movies, maybe driving range if its nice outside

I should take it easier than I have been, but we will see how that goes.

Nice call. Funny how it's right around The Masters when my interest in golf starts to pick back up.

I've already played 18 once this year which is well ahead of my schedule.
