Its quite sad that after all the blunders, most just don't fucking believe that these guys can do anything right. In the end this will probably show in election day as well ;)

Re-elect Al Gore.

(Or said another way, are you high? In 2004 all the Dems needed was about 5% of the Latino vote in Florida to switch and we'd have President Kerry. This "the dems are clods" idea is way overstated.)

Naw, Dems do fine when elections are about local politics but they suck at picking guys that can win national elections. Even Bill Clinton would never have won if not for Perot and Bush Sr. was a pretty weak president that a lot of Repubs hated. Still the dems don't seem to understand that its important to nominate someone with a chance of winning a general election and instead seem hellbent on nominating candidates to the left of Clinton.

I would hope so...maybe you forget I was a political hack myself for four years. I gave it up twelve years ago so I don't stay on top of it like I used to, but I still understand the process and the issues surprisingly stay mostly the same year in, year out.

because the Dems are so fucking ham-fisted, they'll probably try to "Swift Boat" McCain with some kind of fucking "Manchurian Candidate/Been in that box in the jungle too long" bS and lose all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Interesting. Did you mean Bill or Hill?

I think Gore ran to the left of Clinton in 2000.... and won, kinda...

I don't think I ever knew that, BG...if you don't mind, PM me with some candidates/campaigns you've worked on...

I always knew you were smarter than the average bear, but that is quite interesting to hear.

Please, there's a big difference between not understanding the primary process and disagreeing with McCain's apparent strategy for wading through that process. I think most of us know it's a balancing act, but if Sunday was any indication of how McCain plans to walk the tightrope, he ain't gonna get far.

Well, that was certainly the point on my initial post. The point is that his performance on MTP was pretty inept for a politician who has always excelled at interviews with the press. His media product has always been "personal integrity and independent thinking." His product on Sunday was "personal ambition and waffling on the issues."

And I agree with you, but it seems any criticism of that sort ruffles the feathers of Beltway Bobs.

No I don't think the criticism ruffled any feathers...you can respect the guy less. I was just pointing out that "personal independence" from your party's core isn't a great winning strategy for winning your party's nomination.

And Harry, I meant Bill not Hill to answer your question.

Newsflash:

'08 general elec. is going to be the supposed-lesbian (no, not Hillary) against the reformed fatty.

Hint: each is from a state with an initial a.

I see Napolitano as Veep on a Clark-Napolitano ticket....one of about ten possible combinations that could beat most of the current Repub possibilities... including the boring governor of Arkansas... I don't think he has legs.

Current dream scenario... Hillary stalls before convention, Zinni comes in as a darkhorse consensus candidate (I know, this is very 1950's)...

Zinni-Obama wipe up the floor with Allen-Romney in the general election.
