I don't think it's available in the U.S. yet but I've tried this in Italy recently and it was really good.

I tried it in the UK last year and much preferred it to Diet Coke.

coke light is just the european/japanese/what have you market formulation of diet. it was renamed "light" because of the stigma women associate with "dieting" in countries like japan.

I actually like Coke Zero. It seems to go flat quickly though. I only wish they made a decaf Coke Zero.

If I'm looking for a diet drink with no caffeine, I can always rely on Fresca and Diet Squirt.

everywhere i've been outside of north america only has coke light. it's the same as diet coke.

I could be wrong, but it sure didn't taste like North American Diet Coke. In addition to the different taste, after having Coke Light I got that same weird aftertaste like I had just drank Coke Classic. Hence, I think the recipe is different, either that or they're shipping watered down Coke Classic to the rest of the world and calling it 'Light'.

well diet coke has 0 calories, versus coke light's 12,000, so there's got to be something different.

Diet Coke = (New Coke - Sugar) + Aspartame/Cancer
Coke Zero = (Classic Coke - Sugar) + Aspartame/Cancer
Coke C2 = Classic Coke - (Sugar/2) + Aspartame

My guess is that Coke Light is essentially the same as Coke Zero, i.e. Classic Coke formula unleaded, based on the colossal failure of New Coke here. Given the 12 calories, it may also have a little sugar in it to make your skin glow.

That's gotta be it. To be honest, I'm not really a Coke/Diet Coke fan, if I ever have it, it's generally 'with cancer', so the differences in taste were striking. Of course, it was after midnight and I picked up said beverage with a gigantic donair from a Turkish street vendor. Who the hell knows what I was really drinking, or eating for that matter.

The formula for Coke Light is different from Zero and Diet. There's no aftertaste and it does contain a small amount of sugar in it.

Haven't tried Coke Blak, but I didn't like Coke Zero at all.

I can tolerate Diet Dr. Pepper, and I have found my new favorite Diet pop, Diet Wild Cherry Pepsi.
