I've had a lot of fun at the Full Shilling both before and after games. Food's pretty good for bar food and it's a fun atmosphere. Duke's comes HIGHLY recommended. Best burger ever. Ever.

Phil left one out, The Bar Celona. It's a Spanish-style place with good food and lots of drink specials on game days.

Personally, I try to avoid the Cubby Bear and Murphy's because they are always so extremely crowded on game days. However, if it will be a Wrigley Field first for people on the trip then it's worth the crowds. Murphy's has a reasonably priced backyard barbeque thing going on before games. Cubby Bear has great gameday energy. Downside is you probably can't find anywhere to sit unless you get there hours before or leave the game in the seventh.

outside of the gingerman, I'd stay away from a night in the heart of wrigleyville at all costs.
