Calling an American leader a fascist is just ignorant. Yea I think he's a creep who is mostly interested in his own agenda, but I'll leave it at that. Hello everybody. I lurk here occasionally, and this thread reminds me of a issue that was brought up on another board a while back. Why is it that assholes get upset when they called on posting stupid shit on the internet? Isn't their whole point that everything should be funny and to just lighten up already? Then when you call them a stupid asshole, they can't take that as being funny as well. I don't get it. Cartoon of people falling out of burning building = funny. Shiv being self-centered dumbass = funny. Is this not the same thing? I mean I don't know if Shiv thinks people dying is funny or not. I certainly don't think he's an asshole or a self-centered dumbass. That's not the point. The reaction is always taken as being sooo serious. The point is why is the reaction to the original "funny" taken so seriously. Are the internet "funny" people really that thin-skinned?

Any thoughts, funny or not, would be appreciated.

I think that this whole episode is pretty funny, including your post. If I didn't I wouldn't have wasted the time to read this thread. Hell, that's why I clicked on the thread in the first place. Flame wars are funny, whether they be on Myspace or wherever.

I'm sure Shiv is aware of the humor or he wouldn't have posted this. Of course, when people post here seeking serious advice, that's funny too.

Yeah, that's true. That goes along with the "everything is funny" line of thinking I was talking about. However, the guy did not really seem that mad at Shiv.
