3. Van Halen
4. Motley Crue
5. The Cult

The Cult is the only band that I still listen to of them.

I echo the statement that early teens and late teens were quite different

but overall:

1. Daniel Amos (the band)
2. Talking Heads
3. David Bowie
4. Jethro Tull
5. The Police

I don't recall actually owning a Primus album until after High School, but I remember buying tickets for a show in KC shortly before I graduated. It was our first out of state road trip to a show.

Like many people said already, it varied still. Me as a teenage two years ago had pretty much the same taste as I have now.

But if I take a cross-section from when I was, say, 15 that would be more accurate as it would be the in between point.

In which case...

1. Gin Blossoms
2. Third Eye Blind
3. Goo Goo Dolls
4. Matchbox 20
5. Aerosmith

Maybe? That was just before I started listening to punk/ska/emo, which was just before I grew out of all that and started listening to indie stuff.

I just picked the bands that were my favourite when I was around 16, so:

1. The Forgotten Rebels
2. Public Enemy
3. Motley Crue
4. The Rolling Stones
5. The Doors

right now for me its

Leonard Cohen
Nick Cave
Dirty Three
Bob Dylan
Interpol

mid teens: joy division, pixies, jeff buckley, smashing pumpkins, radiohead

I've got around two more years as a teenager to acquire some better taste. Time is running out.
