The College World Series is in Nebraska. The longest active sellout streak in College Football is in Nebraska. One of the current #1 Collegiate Baseball teams is in Nebraska. We also have the highest attendance rate for Collegiate Volleyball and one of the highest attendance rates for Collegiate Baseball.
We don't have professional sports, but I would say we are just as fierce about sports as any New Englander. I've got nothing against Big Papi, my initial comment had to do with the virile hatred some people were expressing toward a man who plays a game for a profession and how I thought it was a little odd some people would wish an injury on the man due to a rivalry.
My comments regarding Pujols were added in because I like the Cards and he stacks up quite well against Ortiz. Plus, they are both from the D. R.

You can't really deny the pujols is the best hitter. I'm anxious to see what he does this year. Its a little early to prophesize him beating bonds' record but i hope he does.
