i did this last semester while working on my monstrous paper. one or two nights before it's due i take a break from the library to meet up with the bf at paul's club. two drinks later, and keep in mind that i was running on no sleep and no food, i was toasted, sitting in the memorial library computer lab convinced that everyone in there knew what i had done. i went home.

My first exam is in 6 days and I've done no revision whatsoever. I have only the most basic grasp of Hobbes and no explanation as to why I haven't actually read any of the 728 pages of 'Leviathan' before now.

My University career could well be 'poor, nasty, brutish and short'.

I'm seriously thinking about taking the plug off my PC and putting it in a safe deposit box or something.

I have a file marked "Hobbes and Locke" in storage somewhere from my political philosophy class. I'll see if I can dig it up.

I'm buzzing. There was free beer, and I drank a lot of it. I'm now trying to finish writing my section of a paper that's due NOW, as well as correct the other 2 thirds of it, each of which was written by well-meaning foreigners whose grasp of engrish is maddening on paper.

Again, this shit is due imminently. And the final for the same class is in...(glance@watch) ... 11 hours. I have this magical, beer-induced theory that I can just *not study for it* and everything will turn out fine, not unlike Homer's Nuclear Phsyics final scenario, where he says he's gonna go in, hide under a pile of caots, and all's well.

ugh.

What class? did you check out obnerwillinstructyou.com ?

Thursday: final exam . . . Wednesday night, brought girl home.

Today: major presentation . . . last night, brought girl home.

Girls help me wake up in the morning. Can that be my excuse? I think that I'm far more productive the next day.

One presentation, one paper, and I get to go from monger to MONGERRRRRRRRRRRR.

Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to road trip to Chicago and introduce yourself to a certain gym teacher. As always, if you our any of your IM (insatiable monger) team are captured or killed, the secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions. This thread will self-destruct in ten seconds.

I stay away from the baby-mamas.

Well, mostly . . .

I think this post-divorce life of mine may be proof that there is a benevolent deity who loves me . . . I mean, with a five-week mustache, to boot.

YOUR brain? Try being in my habitually low self-esteem brain, trying to explain this to yourself. Apparently appearing to be a "hapless bumbler" is cute.
