I haven't bought anything bad...haven't really heard anything bad since I have pretty much narrowed my reccomenders to Radcliffe, Dumpjack and Bloor and Derris (who are my friends in the real world)

This is Avey Tare from Animal Collective and a dude from Black Dice, for those who don't know. I thought it was a decent enough noise record at first, but the more I listen to it, the less I like it. I enjoy a fair amount of noise and experimental stuff, but this is just kind of annoying.

I almost ordered this. Good thing I didn't. I'll probably download it instead.

For me:

Worst:

Antipop Consortium - Arrhythmia
Faith No More - Album of the Year (it's not really all that bad, but in comparison to everything else I've bought...)

Best:

Too many to name. I make my purchases carefully.

Worst: William Orbit - Hello Waveforms (mostly because it was a total let down compared to his last pop album, Hinterland)

I like the new William Orbit a lot. But I wouldn't mind if he swore off pop music (and stopped producing other, lesser shits) altogether.

Not gonna get in the Peter Gabriel argument as I'll always like him regardless of other opinions.

Haven't purchased anything I hate yet this year, probably because I almost always hear some songs before purchase. Probably something unbearable will crop up, though. It's still early.

Not bad but biggest disappointment thus far: Flaming Lips

I don't want to talk anyone out of it, but, yeah, I'd say definitely listen to it before buying. It may actually be something you'd like as it does sort of resemble the noise tracks from Spirit They're Gone.

Best:
Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris - All the Roadrunning
Killing Joke - Hosannas from the Basements of Hell
Pearl Jam
Bill Bruford - Earthworks Underground Orchestra
Jesu - Silver
Calexico - Garden Ruin
Eno/Cale - Wrong Way Up (Remaster)

Worst:
Jenny Lews - Rabbit Fur Coat: Seriously boring, seriously trying way too hard to be Neko Case

Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime 2: Totally unnecessary, and even the inspired moments don't make me want to listen to this again.
