no I got that non indie listening friend could be abbreviated to nilf....I just gave you cretins the benefit of doubt that you wouldn't think it was clever to bastardize the clear historical understanding of ilf

i dont think that "atl speak" would benefit me much. i'd probably leave being even more baffled than before.

my mom is actually annoyed by the way i talk just because i used the word "substantial" while talking about my potato soup today and i say "as well" rather than "too" sometimes.
i don't know what's wrong with that.

the other day me and this other guy took a couple of other indie-ignorant dudes and girls to this 'indie' show. The only two good bands were double booked and couldn't play, and instead there was a stage play and all this twee as fuck shit.

They are now permanently allergic to the word 'indie', and have an even stronger misconception about what indie music is.

We took two NILFs to the Belle & Sebastian and New Porno's show a couple months ago. They're into DMB and U2. They somewhat liked the NP's but hated B&S. Later the guy told me that the New porno's were a bit formulaic. Even later than that he said the new Alter Bridge record is pretty damn good.

I threw up in my mouth.
