All my older siblings told me I was adopted all the time when I was little. I eventually found out I never really was.

That's good news and a long road FT. Good luck! I know about 4 or 5 couples that have gone through international or domestic means for adoption. They are happy families.

i'm adopted. but.. it's a long story.

it involves emancipation from biological mother, etc etc.

my whole family (both sides!) is filled with derelicts, mentally ill, substance-abusing, obnoxious alcoholic cretins. and the rest are really sweet, gentle people. I'm pretty sure they're mine.

I recently decided that if I ever wanted children, that I'd adopt. Ours are a fragile and damaged people and it'd be good to take one more kid out of a state-run foster home. That said, I don't want kids and don't see myself capable of raising a houseplant.
