Ha, drinking and biking... now that's an experience. And I've been told you can still get a ticket for that!

In CA, the law treats it as drunken driving with the same penalties as if you were behind the wheel of an automobile. You can seriously lose your driver's license for being drunk on a bicycle. I don't think its enforced very often though.

It was in Ohio, he was driving the lawn mower because he had his license suspended for two previous DUI's. They towed the mower.
I have heard it is legal to drive a lawnmower in Iowa if you lost your license.

I thought you were talking about George Jones when he got pulled over for driving his lawnmower down the Nashville freeway. He'd run out of booze and his wife had hidden the car keys.

I only ride on the street for a short period of the ride, the rest of the time it is on bike paths. I had four beers after work last night with the roller derby folk, since we had a massive thunderstorm going on.

Vodka Gimlet recipe

Scale ingredients to servings
1 oz lime juice
1 1/2 oz vodka
1 tsp powdered sugar

Stir all ingredients with ice, strain into a cocktail glass, and serve.

sounds good, but I'm pretty sure someone would kick my ass on G.P. for ordering this at a bar.

Huh, I had no idea that was a gimlet. I drink vodka rocks with a splash of lime juice all the time. No idea I was that close to getting beat up.

It's the powdered sugar that makes it a little femme.

The only places powdered sugar and straight men can co-exist are on french toast, donuts, and naked women.

Heh, I had a friend who dated (and ended up marrying) a guy who loved Lemon Drops with that sugar around the rim. I knew he was a loser right then and there.

No, not TomKat, but think Dudley DoRight in terms of looks, and you've got him down. He also drank the fruity beer they sell at McMenamin's pubs here in Portland which is unnaturally sweet and definitely a girlie drink. He's one of those "mold me, mama, tell me what to do!" guys that I never had time for.

edit: the phrase "had a friend" definitely applies here... I'm not friends with them anymore. Also, they just had a kid, so clearly he's poking the right hole on occasion.

No shit. He literally used the phrase, "You make me wanna be a better man" when they were dating. I so had to stifle my laughter.
