This new Junior Boys album, "So This Is Goodbye"

yeah, it isnt really 'summer'y to me. autumn, more like

apart from that one of the few bands of the modern day who makes me feel all warm/cold inside

there is so much space between/inside the music.

i miss the stop-stutter crazy beats of last exit, but some of the synthiness almost makes up for it. "last exit" is still my fav track tho

i had similar in quotation marks and then edited the post because i figured people would be like "oh fuck you they are just like blah blah blah"

i was just referring to the whole indie/electronic scene. vocalists over minimal poppy electro beats.

just the junior boys have put out 2 of my favorite albums of the decade now.

i say if anything junior boys are similar to hot chip. it's that whole vocalists over minimal poppy electro beats which i LOVE.

but don't make me choose between hot chip & junior boys. good lawwwwd.

kind of a letdown compared to their first album, but picks up from "in the morning" and on.

This album is amazing. I find myself putting it on in conjunction with the new Rapture, though Junior Boys is clearly the better disc. Top ten of the year.

Excellent disc for sure. The lead singer mentioned when they were in Chicago how they were the iTunes download of the week recently and the comments left by users were rather amusing. For example; So this is how it feels to wake up next to a gay man in bed. Funny.

It's unfortunate though there aren't more "Double Shadow" type tracks on there.

I think double shadow is just as good as in the morning. The slower tracks on this are kind of iffy.
