i will say America The Book is really funny, so it must be Stewart's delivery that sucks

I wish Kilborn, Colbert and Brian Unger would return to The Daily Show.

The real news is weird enough without having someone make fun of it for me.

That's a different kind of comedy.

Anybody see that Jason Jones report a couple of days ago about that Democratic candidate in Ohio? It's called Donkey Showdown on Comedy Central's Motherload thing, but I can't figure out how to link to it. It is priceless.

That was probably one of the best episodes of the Daily Show I've ever seen.

Daily show is still better, although the Colbert Report is good.

My vote goes to Steven Colbert on the Daily show :D . When he and Steve Carrel used to do "Even Stevens"...amazing. Yes. No. Yes. No. Yeeeeeeesssssssssss.

I have a crush on Jon Stewart, so he'll always be my number one. I will concede that Stephen Colbert is awfully funny, but ultimately, other than the Word, I don't like the format of his show.

Yup. I've noticed a real drop recently in Colbert's "The Word" segment. It just ain't funny. He makes up for it most nights though.

I agree--somebody recently told me it was their favorite part. To me, it just seems a too-rigid adherence to the faux'Reilly format. Cut it loose.

That said, I think Colbert is funnier than Daily Show, maybe just because Colbert seems less smug.

I love both but I see parallels in this to a Letterman vs. Conan argument.

Colbert Report seems to have settled into a rut already where pretty much every night is the same, just tweaked slightly.

Watch two weeks of Colbert or Conan and you'll have every mannerism down pat and be able to say what they're going to say before they say it.

Holy shit, no kidding. Conan is fucking brutal. Colbert's not quite there yet, but look out below. I don't watch either regularly, but would throw my vote towards The Daily Show.
