Dov, i said you're right, you've got the soundscan numbers to prove it, shit... I've got the shitty jukeboxes in bars across the country to prove it.

So why do people know about Guns n Roses? Not why do they like them, why do they know about them? Exposure on radio, tv, etc...

And people buy what they know. I mean, we could do this for any hugely successful band/act. Radio and Video makes it familiar enough for the average consumer to buy.

but it doesnt make it bad, cause the label spent more dollars on it then another band that may be technically better..


im with you 100% in theory....there is a ton of shit out there, that can only be big because of forced exposure....

but at the ame time, just cauise it was force fed to the masses, doesnt automatically make it bad, and people sheep for buying and liking it....

thats my beef.... *high five*

This is great. And I'm a little surprised to see them bashing Zero 7 and Moby. Portishead always seemed so well-mannered. Their myspace reads like some asshole kid's blog.
