Aha. The thread I was looking for.

1. Do Make Say Think - This, their 2nd of two nights in Montreal, was the best show I'd seen in that city since Dirty Three an April and a half back. Totally inspired. At once loose with improv and tight so as not to stray too far from their recordings (primarily "Winter Hymn ... "). They just exploded at a point and I lost my head, had a moment. Great band.

2. Animal Collective - Loud and melodic. Maximal and ambient. My only complaint would be that at times its liveness seemed questionable. Lots of backing loops.

3. Iron & Wine

4. Destroyer w/ Frog Eyes - Frog Eyes' chaotic sound gave refreshing insight to the infectious and ostensibly versatile songs from "Your Blues".

5. Fog - Solo performance on acoustic and electronics. Lots of granular turntable loops and impassioned playing overtop, pretty well filling in for his excellent live band.

6. An Albatross/Les Angles Morts - Loud and reckless. I almost felt like elbowing someone.

7. Jaga Jazzist - See this band, they'll take over your world.

8. Six Organs of Admittance - Because it was Six Organs.
