Yeah, I struggled with that too. The idea is actually kind of lame but it was executed pretty well.

I just rented this and agree it's great. I'd think it'd be a lot more fun if you are familiar with the archetypes of film noir, which Dalen apparently isn't. This is really just that kind of story set in a high school.

I just rented this Saturday night too. I went to the video store with the intent of getting X3 but they were all out so I got this and watched it Sunday morning. Loved it. Fully intend to buy it on dvd and lend it to friends.
