Only if they stage one of those massive felon roundups (like when they offer to give away free TV's) though that would be a win for me because it would be some great fucking TV.

Mike Patrick just called it--"looks a little ragged out there right now"

What happened to the 12 seconds that were supposed to be put back on the clock?

By the way, something is wrong in college football when a linebacker is allowed to wear the # "2".

First it was wideouts, then DB's being allowed to rock low numbers...but a linebacker!?!

Hate to say it (I despise the Ducks), but Oregon looked really good Saturday. They'll give USC a run for the Pac 10 title, and I wouldn't be surprised if they won it. From what I've seen tonight, they'd definitely compete with either of these teams.

i think that'd be a win for all of us who can't stand college football teams in the state of florida.

What the hell are Larry Coker & Bobby Bowden doing lecturing people about sportsmanship?

The only thing that game had going for it was the classic mystique of Miami versus FSU, other than that it was a snoozefest featuring defenses that look all-world because they were playing against shitty offenses.
I've never seen two teams worse at running simple draw plays. How many freaking times did the Miami QB fumble the snap last night and how many times did the FSU RB lose at least 4yds when he should have gained about two yds a carry by just falling forward.
I guarantee you that both of these teams drop at least two games more before the end of the year.
I really hope OSU-Texas and Nebraska-USC are better games than this one.

All the more reason they shouldn't play each other at the beginning of the year. Not sure how many games you watched over the weekend but NOBODY was an offensive juggernaut for their first game. If they were it was due to much inferior opponents.

I actually enjoyed the game but I love when two great D's get together. There were at least 6 Sportscenter worthy hits that went on during that game. I love slobberknockin football. I mean christ, there were 3 hits I can think of off the top of my head where helmets flew off.

I'm not so sure about both of them dropping "at least 2 games". It certainly didn't hurt Ohio State to have a mediocre offense and a great D when they won it all. Also, Ga Tech gave Notre Dame all they wanted and more and I think both FSU and Miami's D's were better than Techs.

I think OSU/ Texas will be another low scoring affair.

honestly, and not to sound whimsical or cheesy but these two teams mean more to the history of college football in my view than michigan, ohio state, notre dame and penn state.

Not so much whimsical or cheesy as just OPEN TARD.

I still believe that neither of these teams would fair that well against most of the top 25 teams if they had to play them on the road, but since they never really have to leave the south, it doesn't matter.

Both of these teams would beat Nebraska at home, on the road, or on the surface of the moon.

Not a slight to you my friend--that aint hatin, thats just factin'.

Bump, Hey Yail Bloor, Do you still believe this?
Nebraska is 9-3 and playing for a conference title, Miami and FSU are 6-6.

Nice bump, dude. Next bring out the one where I said the Falcs make the Super Bowl.

Pretty funny too that you were dismissing Huston Nutt (this was months ago) when I mentioned that he would have been better for Nebraska than Callahan and now they are both playing in their respective conference championship games...

I am looking forward to that Big 12 game since I havent really seen either team play other than highlights.

The Big 12 title game was awful. Nebraska spotted OU 14 early points and then couldn't pass the 20yd line as if it were the Korean Demilitarized zone. They outrushed OU and I believe led in Total Offense, but Taylor just couldn't get the ball in the end zone without throwing a pick. If the Huskers wouldn't have the shittiest CB on the planet, they probably would have won the game on a short FG, since the Sooners couldn't run the ball.
