If San Francisco beats Arizona, they should re-possess the stadium.

Drew Bledsoe sucks.

And Matt Jones is a freak.

Agreed on both counts, especially about Bledsoe. Flozell Adams also sucks, and I'm starting to think Parcells does, too.

Having Matt Jones on my fantasy football team was great, EXCEPT for the fact that my opponent this week (elephantstone) had T.O. and basically nullified me there. Bastard.

I watched it live, it wasn't *that* bad. Knocked the wind out of him, but nothing like Thiesman, Stingley, or McGahee.

HOLY SHIT!!! I didn't watch any football tonight. I watched the UGA game yesterday, and was not all that impressed. I did, however, drink a lot of alcohol tonight. So, HOLY SHIT!!! I did some shots... yeah. Go Sunday.

I finally caught it on the highlight reels, and was pretty disappointed. BOO!

Don't forget Tim Krumrie in the Super Bowl. That was pretty nasty.

Oh, and Napoleon McCallum on MNF. That was worse than Theismann to me.

Where he got stood up at the line and his knee bent backward like a fucking stork's? Just thinking about that can make me throw up a little bit in my mouth.

Non-NFL, but Alabama's Tyrone Prothro's injury last year vs. FL was one of the worst I have ever seen. I was actually listening to the game on the radio, and I heard the announcer say that the UF players were signalling for the Alabama trainers, and said to Femgar: "That dude's career is over." Then I saw it, and it was WORSE than I expected.

I was watching the game live and said the exact same thing to no one in particular.

Holy Shit! How can a sport be so violent and boring at the same time.

at least you aren't part of that crazy sect of obnish who consistently pound the other football nonsense into this board. (or are you? i never look at those threads unless the content can't be determined from the title.)

While it's still a pretty violent collision on replays, it's not as jarring as it was seeing it live. And although, in retrospect, I may have inadvertently oversold it, it was still A LOT worse than "getting the wind knocked out of him." He was out cold for a good 15-20 minutes before they could even strap him to the stretcher.

Remind me to refrain from posting the next time I'm watching football.

Definitely NOT a "HOLY SHIT!!!" moment. Green was mid-slide and Geathers was mid dive/tackle and he connected with Green's head. Green's head then hit the turf real hard like. The hit wasn't that impressive.
